Browns Bay features in prestigious junior tournament

The Browns Bay triples combination of Grant Keats, Willie McIvor and Sean Mulholland were to the fore at the Heartland Bank Milford 5,000 held on the North Shore over the weekend.

One of New Zealand’s richest junior tournaments, teams for the two day any combination triples competition needed to be made up of at least  two 1-5 year players and could also include a 1-8 year player. Keats, McIvor and Mulholland qualified in the top 16 for the Main Event on a rain shortened first day which saw 4 games of 8 ends played. On the second day, they won 3 of their 4 games in emphatic fashion which saw the trio bag 3rd prize and $450 in prize money.
