2025 New Year BHB
The final of the 2025 Business House bowls tournament was played on Wednesday the 5th of March with both a Cup and Plate section semi-final and final being played.
In the Cup - the Bay City Bowlers defeated Where’s Jack and played Crackerjacks in the final after they had won their semi-final over Redlite Rebels. Where’s Jack ultimately
missed out altogether as they lost the 3rd/4th playoff to Redlite Rebels.
In the Plate - The Hapuka’s came out on top having beaten The Slammers in the Plate final. Heavy Balls got over Citywide Electrical in the 3rd/4th play off, who while missing out on a top three did go away with a random prize.
A great tournament well sponsored by Wendy Treadwell of Harcourts and the crew at New World Browns Bay.
Crackerjacks have a history in this competition having won
the tournament back in: 2007, 2014, 2017 & 2019.
However not only did they win this series, they had the audacity to also win the pre-Christmas event.
Well done to Hamish, Saul, the “Symo boys” (and a ring in used when they were in deep trouble).
